Default Shock replacement question (SRC)

I am needing to replace my shocks on a 2003 C5 Corvette with SRC. From my understanding the f55 option needs to be deleted with a Tech 2, and the simulators will not work. I am not sure if cutting the old shock and leaving the sensor connected will work, guessing not? I am wanting to replace the shocks with some bilstein's, and I am willing to go get the programming done. Anyone know of someone in Tulsa Oklahoma to accomplish the programming?

You can remove the sensor from the old shock and keep it plugged in. I've had zero issue with this approach for 2+ years.
