Default Evaporative System not ready??

I recently got a new battery for my 2003 Coupe, which resulted in a reset of several systems. I have since driven the car about 115 miles and am now trying to get the car smog certified. Unfortunately, the car keeps showing a "Not Ready" status for the Evaporative System.

Can anyone offer any insight on how far/long the car needs to be driven/run until that system is "ready," or what else can be done to make it ready? I need to get this figured out ASAP.

Thanks!

I know it takes quite a few start, drive, stop cycles. Someone here will fill you in on the details i'm sure. Had the same problem years ago when I changed the battery.

This is for BMW, but it always works for all my other cars:

evap can take forever to set and is usually the last readiness monitor to change to ready status... does your area allow a certain number of "not ready" and still pass?... here in tx you can have 1 if the car is 2001+ and if it is 96-00 you can have 2, but every state is probably different... if all else fails you can find someone with hptuners and have them force it to ready status

EVAP drive cycle:
Preconditions: Cold start up ECT/IAT between 36-93F, (within 14 of each other) BARO over 75kPA

Acel to 45 (smooth & steady) & drive until closed loop them 3 min more.

I think Evap is the only monitor allowed to be Not Ready in CA because it takes so long.
