I've been replacing most of my filament bulbs with LEDs. One of the first I replaced were my switchback DLR/turn signals (from Vettelights.com). I also used the optional wiring harness so I wouldn't have to worry about installing the resistors, etc.
Here's the problem that I've encountered. When the headlights/parking lights are on the lights turn white, as they should, and they are very bright......as they should be. See photo #1
Now when I activate the turn signal or don't have the headlights/parking lights on these lights are supposed to burn amber......but they are extremely dim.....barely visible for cars to the front of me. See photo #2. In #2 you can see how dim they are in comparison to the side marker light, which is LED.
Any ideas why this is happening or what I can do to remedy the situation? I really like the LEDs but if no one can see my turn signals it kind of defeats the purpose of having LEDs up front.
Contact the vendor, the LED quality can really vary with vendors. Actually, I just looked at you’re pics again and I believe the switchback LEDs look/work best with a clear corner lens, not the OEM ones.

I've been in contact with him. He's at a loss. When they go amber it's like they go on dim at the same time. The white is as bright as it should be though. We're both scratching our heads on this one. He's never had that issue with other sales of these lights.

I'm not crazy about the clear lenses though.
Well, I would have Cole swap out another set then.
I just installed mine this past weekend and have the same issue. I haven't had a chance to email Cole yet. I know he'll ship me another set.
When the parking or headlights are off, the amber blinkers are nice and bright. The problem is that when the parking or headlights are on, the white light is staying on when the blinker turns on. Its a switchback so the white light is supposed to turn off with the blinkers, then turn back on.
Pull the socket/bulb out of the lens. Turn on your parking lights then turn on your blinker. You'll see what its doing...

UPDATE - Contacted Cole @ VetteLights and he said I probably had the older black plastic base units. He immediately shipped me the new style set with the silver base. They worked perfect!
