I noticed black spots on my garage floor at the back area of my Exhaust . I have Borla Touring with 4 tips . I noticed it is wet with water kind of like wet black soot
What is my next step to see if it is engine problems or burning to rich . Funny thing is I check my oil and is at full no signs of excessive oil usage. I revved up the engine and let my Brother check to see if any smoke was coming out . Nothing of any color . Engine does not hesitate or have signs of needing Spark plugs . Engine runs good
. No codes, What diagnostics or What should I get checked ?

I'd check nothing, sounds like condensation to me, mine does the same thing. Inside of my pipes are black from soot it's common.

Same here with my '98 vert. Nothing to worry about IMO...

I third this.

Water molecules are a byproduct of fuel combustion. It and any residual condensation are pushed through the exhaust and expelled through the tail pipes. It wouldn't be uncommon on a car of the C5's age simply because... well... it's an old car with a build up of soot and byproduct.

At worst it's annoying.

I too do not think this is anything to be concerned about.

have the temps dropped there? cooler air causes more condensation and then you have the droplets mixing with exhaust soot.

when its hot there is a lot less condensation
