I have a 1971 Honda CB750 K1 sandcast that I have since new. I built it onto a cafe racer back in the early 70's, took it apart to redo it and never put it back together. I partially started putting it back together and never finished it. Right now they are very hot bikes since cafe racers are the "in" bike. I've been working on it to get it running and redone. If I decide not to ride it now would be the time to sell it. It kind of got put aside during my Harley period. If you know about them, sandcasts are getting very valuable.
Cafe or straight up those bikes are valuable and still fun to ride today. I have a hardtail frame and a BSA engine that I can't work up any enthusiasm to pull together. Maybe if I "cafe" it the project might get off the ground.
Just take off where end link attaches to sway bar and if it makes a noise then you can always get new end links...my metal end links were still good so I didn't get new ones. Hope this helps

It did. Limited chances to drive since the ‘dropping of the brine’ but I heard nothing so far.
I think the only time the 6mm hex bit or allen wrench is used is to keep the balljoint type connection on the end link from rotating when tightening or breaking loose the nut which attaches the swaybar.
