Someone actually quoted you 4 hrs?
It actually only took us 15 mins to take
my stock hood off and bolt up my MCM hood...no adjustments were needed...he didn't even charge me...I gave him a photo opt.......
He changed out my stock catbacks for Z06 titaniums ...30 mins and $50...
11k miles on Titanium catbacks
stock on left...Titanium on right
stock catbacks loosened
before clearcoat

My Vette mechanic at the stealership did front and rear sway bars in 30 min and charged me $50...and I saw him even use his torque wrench

Chas, did you need a place to do it or are you going to bring it somewhere to have it done? I've got only a floor jack and jackstands, but I've got air tools, heat and plenty of lighting. It's not hard at all. I did a clutch in my home garage. Restoring a motorcycle right now but I've still got plenty of room. I forgot, cable TV and hot and cold running water if needed.

thanks Jeff, I’m probably going to have the work done by Driving Impressions in Denville, but I appreciate the offer! I’m still thinking about doing it myself tho’.

Did they move? They used to be in Dover. BTW, the service manager and a few other people in the service dept. at Norman Gale are friends of mine with a lot of Corvette experience. I'm sure they would do it too, and quickly. It's an easy job. My offer remains open, too. Sundays are best. At Gale they have a C5 project car they are working on for a customer.

I have a 1971 Honda CB750 K1 sandcast that I have since new. I built it onto a cafe racer back in the early 70's, took it apart to redo it and never put it back together. I partially started putting it back together and never finished it. Right now they are very hot bikes since cafe racers are the "in" bike. I've been working on it to get it running and redone. If I decide not to ride it now would be the time to sell it. It kind of got put aside during my Harley period. If you know about them, sandcasts are getting very valuable. Additionally, I have Carroll Shelby alloy motorcycle wheels on it. I bet no one knows he was into bike wheels for a while. The only other person I know who has them is in England.
