Default Help Identifying Exhaust System

Hello,

I have an exhaust system off a C5 that I would like to offer up for sale, however as it came on the car, and there aren't any identifying brand tags, I don't know what brand or model it is.

I do not believe it to be one of the Chinese off brands, as one of the 2.5" over the axle tubes is marked with "RAR or RAW" (it's blurry) and it also says clearly "Made in USA"

I've added some pictures here. Can anyone help me identify this?

Possibly from B&B.

I looked at all the B&B and I don't think it exactly matches any of those.

However after looking through several other brands, I believe I've identified it as a Corsa Sport. PN 14111 EDIT: I was wrong. According to Corsa Tech it's a Mid America knockoff of the Corsa design.

The Over the axle piping, particularly the location of the welds on those pipes, the "Made in USA" marks on the pipe, the band around the muffler where the mounting hook attaches, as well as the shape and design of the exhaust tips and finally, the flattened out U-Clamps are all identical to this Photo from Corsa's website.

Eric, I can only add that to me the tips look a little off in the pics. Most if not all Corsa systems have either an embossed or etched trademark on top of the tips. My Corsa system has the embossing. For some reason the shape of the tips seem a little different too. All that said, I could not eliminate the possibility that they are Corsa as the rest of the system looks right.

I think the older Corsa systems did not have the embossing. Regardless, he'll have to sell this as an unknown system unless he can gather some proof of a brand.

I have the Corsa "Indy Pace Car" cat-back system on my C5 and that system was on the car when I bought it back in 2005. The tips do have the embossed "Corsa" label on the top of each of the 4 tips.

The welds shown in the pic don't look that good. On my system, the welds are wider and look much more consistent especially at the edges of the muffler cans. And the mufflers are more polished than those in the pics.

By any chance, do you have pics of the tips from the front??

Hey Guys,

I was very confident of the positive identification when I found the Corsa stock photo, and it seemed to match in every way, but I can certainly admit when I'm wrong. I never had intention to mislead, and my reputation as a seller on here and in life in general is too good for me to tarnish it by misleading someone, intentionally or unintentionally.

I spoke someone in the technical dept at Corsa, sent him additional detailed up close photos and he identified it as a "Mid America" brand exhaust. He said it was the most common replica of the Corsa.

Eric,
Thank you for contacting us.
After looking at the pictures, that is a Mid-America system.
They we manufactured by a company based off of our design.
There is no RSC inside the muffler( from the internal pictures)the mid-America system has a small pack section on the outlet side of the muffler, the pipe material is also not from one of our suppliers, and the case finish is not correct for our processes.
In our picture it is difficult to see, but there would be an acid etched Corsa logo across the top of the tips.( the current version is laser etched).
There are several knock-off out there , but the Mid-America system is the most common.

Regarding my sale thread, I did have a sale pending on my FS thread, however I have spoken with the buyer, informed him of all of this, and we will adjust the deal so that it's suitable, or he can backout entirely.

I will of course also edit my FS thread.
