Brake Lights, IP lights
Apologies if this is duplicative, but I did not find an exact match for my symptoms. Car is an early build '98 coupe.
Key in, turn to on or start. Instrument panel is dark - apart from the warning lights, like Brake, etc., which all work normally.
The high mounted brakelight works fine, but the 4 "regular" brakelights do not come on.
All other lighting works properly - parking, DRL's, heads (dim and full), turn signals front and rear, fogs, back ups, interior, etc.
Any thoughts?

But the electrics on these cars are just over complicated. Why the hazard switch replacement should require a whole pile of trim removal is beyond me, as is the overly complex, not to say expensive, IC lighting system.
