I just watched a video where when operating the top the hard boot stayed up, I need to hold mine up is there a known spring issue with C5 hard boots?

You need to replace a couple of struts.

Check this tread out.

I bought ACDelco from Amazon. P/N 510-991. Two required. Works great.

I replaced mine last year and thought the trunk was a different part number.

Yes, it looks like the convertible trunk P/N is ACDelco 510-992. Strongarm brand also shows different P/N for trunk. I may replace the ones in my trunk in the spring. The trunk only pops up about 1/2", barely enough to get your finger underneath it.

Default Part number

The correct Stabilus part number for the convertible boot lifts are SG430019. The ones in the thread will work for the trunk.
