Default Seat programming

My seat entry is off but when I open the door the seat adjusts forward. Whats the deal?

The memory is probably set for a shorter person. Set it for you.

Wait... "Easy entry easy exit" is turned off, and your seat moves forward when you open the door? It's not moving when you unlock the door, but instead when you open it? And it moves forward not backwards?
Obviously if the option is on, it should move back when you unlock with the FOB, and move rearward... moving forward when the key is inserted.

Default seat

#1 is adjusted for me, it just adjusts forward when I open the door to start the car. I thought the feature for seat entry would disable it.

Seat entry seems to have a mind of it's own. Mine always has to wiggle around for a few minutes and then settle on something slightly different than what it was set for. Then again sometimes not.

Once it remembered it's former owner, a short little guy, and it damn near broke me in half powering up to the steering wheel.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to shut it off. Memory Seat would be the first thing I leave off if I ever get to buy a new one.

I would try resetting the memory.

Do you have an owners manual? I don't recall the procedure, but it's simple.
If you are the only one that drives the car set the memory for both FOBs to your preferences.

Open the car with your chosen FOB, get in the car, put everything where you like (seats, mirrors...), then hold down the same number on the door of the FOB you use(d) to open the car until it blinks. Done.
