Ram 6130/402 or McCleod, both with McL adj master. Do I need the standard McL or the dual friction unit? From what I understand I may need to beef up other driveline components, so far I have bought a billet output shaft from MTI any other recomendations. I plan on gears at a later time. Which clutch will chatter the least. Which will take to flogging the best?

RAM ;). If installed properly, no chatter ;) The guy who started using this clutch puts down at least 600RWHP, launches at 6K on ET Streets and it never slips. BTW, he goes to the track VERY often!
Thanks for the input. It was a tough decision between the McLeod dual disc and the RAM. I ended up puchasing the Ram 910 VDS with the ram adjustable master. The Ram 910 is a more agressive clutch than the 980 and good for 500 RWHP. I dont plan on spraying so I should be fine. From what I understand there are not alot of guys having issues with chatter from this clutch. I hear good things about the McLeod from what I hear it is so effective that it will find any weak links in your drivetrain and punish them. I hear it has a real nice feel though. Pressure needed to shift is lower than others because of the dual disks. I feel that the Ram is a great band for the buck clutch, we will find out.

Good to hear from you. I met you and your son at Gateway a couple years back. I have the 2000 Mag Red cpe. I am losing the shorties and puting Stainless Works Lts on. I see by your sig that you couldnt wait to dip into the motor either. Looks like a nice set up.
I am thinking of having the H/C and clutch installed at the same time. Could this potentially cause problems down the line due to improper break-in? We do plan on doing Ls1 edit with plenty of WOT on the dyno.
What is the most effective trany cooler? Who has the best price? Gotta whatch the pennies, I just booked the wedding reception hall yesterday, must get mods before the big day, the pressures on! :D
