Default TPMS testing

I have searched back thru some threads but couldn't find an answer...Is there a way to check the sensors before you put them back on and mount new tires over them?

...but check the date code. If they are 8-10 years old replace them while the tires are off

Yeah, if they are from when the car was new, you've got your money's worth. Go ahead and replace them.

On Youtube there is good videos on how to replace batteries on these sensors .

After you have replace batteries you can check them aganist the car before installing them on the wheels

Buy new and check the date of manufacture. Some places won't guarantee what is shipped to you are "new". I plan to order a set from O'Reilly's for my Malibu. Order on line and return those that are too old to the local store. Places like Rockauto won't guarantee freshness. My other option is the guy at the local O'Reilly's said he would order a bunch and we could then pick through them. But they have some deals online when ordering so I can actually get them cheaper. I plan to buy the Schrader rather than GM, since the GM are made by them anyhow. Careful of some of the off brands, they don't last long.
