Default Exhaust Header question

My 99 vert

I have a Corsa X pipe with a Borla Atak axle back

If I were to do headers with high pass cats, can I use my X pipe or do I have to go another direction?

All headers have collectors that terminate in different locations and angles.

If you plan on using an OEM or some different midpipe (with or without CATs) you will need to have a shop fabricate a transition pipe from your midpipe to your headers.

Most headers have a matching midpipe that bolts right up to ANY axel back muffler system. Its more cash but sometimes worth it.

SO,,, A quick answer to your question, NO, It will NOT bolt right up.. You will have to do some fabricating.

Thanks Bill,

I understand, this is my fault for changing my mind about headers.
I will have to deal with what I have or do the complete system over again and sell my Corsa X pipe.

A decent exhaust shop could fit the Corsa X in with the headers after install... should be no problem.

I know, but that would mean taking my car there with open headers then trusting them with a torch without damaging it.

If I do them, it will be done by me and I will probably just do the whole section.

You might see a Corsa X pipe with less than 200 miles on it in the for sale section here

I own this one, my bad, not thought out well enough

thanks
