Default HVAC Control panel

My lights on my control panel are out. I just watch a you tube video about the temp light being dim. The person re-soldered the resistors. The temp light came on nice and bright. Am I correct in my assumption that if I do the same thing that my lights in the other areas of their panel will work?

The lights in the other place are bulbs that burn out.

Resoldering the resistors fixes the screen.

Now is a good time to replace those lights with LEDs. Can customize the color a little bit too.

I'll offer that the lights in the LCD screen for my HVAC controls were completely dim, and after resoldering they work like a champ. Figured I couldn't make it any worse.

I also didn't realize how shaky my hands are until I was trying to solder tiny resistors haha.

The 14 light bulbs soldered to the display board are burned out. The replacement bulb is a 7219 bulb, 12v 70ma grain of wheat style. Any more these have to be ordered. I have gotten them in the past from McMaster Carr.

You can also go the LED replacement route, this thread covers replacing lights in all areas of the C5 interior with LEDs. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...od-thread.html
