AUTO climate control issue
Just got this 99 with 63000 miles. The problem is low air flow thru the dash vents. With this forums help, I pulled the battery and tray out and the inner fender access cover. I removed three handfulls of a mouse nest and 12 walnut shells! I also found a chewed off plastic vacuum hose. Not knowing the source of the hose I slipped on a vacuum hose over the plastic line and plugged it into what appears to be a second nipple on the bottom of the vacuum tank.This hose is at the very bottom of the vacuum tee which I think is the hose to the interior? So where do I start to find this hose from the engine side of the firewall? and why is there a second nipple on the vacuum storage tank? AND I think I'll pull the dash fan to confirm no further mouse nest!

I'm fairly certain my '99 vacuum tank has only one fitting, connected to check valve/tee. One side is supposed to connect to the back of the intake manifold, the other goes to the firewall plastic line. I put a vacuum gage on the line from the manifold and had good source, so I 'temporarily' plugged the source directly into the firewall line. It worked! So my 'temporary' connection is coming up on 6 months so far...
