Default What block do i have?

I was told by the person who built my engine that it has a lingenfelter short block.

how can I prove what it has? Because it sure would be nice to know.

I sure don't doubt its true, as I have no paperwork, just word of mouth. But I am told this is what it all has.

visually see if the block is iron or aluminum, and then locate where is the cam sensor located, behind the intake or on front cover. that will narrow it down to Gen III or Gen IV and displacement.
a wild guess based of that cam spec, i'll guess it's a 5.7

Lingenfelter does not make their own engine block, they take a block already cast and then add components to it. So if the shortblock came from lingenfeler it would have all the internals that they would install when you order one from them. if your engine rebuilder put his own parts in it for the build, then it is no longer a "lingenfelter built block."

If you ever see ads for people selling 98-01 LS1 camaros and Trans ams, they all put in their ads that the car had a "vette" motor in them even though anyone who knows its because it shared the same engine.
Lngenfelter will put a stamp that says LPE-(whatever deignation the engine is) on the block and heads. if you dont see a stamp that starts with LPE, it is not one of their builds.

true lpe never cast blocks, but if you have the internals as listed, that is a stout built motor.

Yes, I have no reason to doubt whats in the motor. I don't have a build list or anything like that.

I hope to dyno tune it this summer. I believe I'm pushing 700whp.
