Default 04Z LT header install, mounts and plugs too?

Hello all, i recently ordered LG street headers for my 2004 Z, im just curious what Preventative maintenance items i could easily take care of while i have the headers off. the car only has 49,xxx miles and is mostly a weekend driver. but i'd have right close access to plugs and motor mounts during the install. just wanted input form others. there is no issues with the current ones. any ideas?

some pictures of it for you to enjoy.

Wires because you'll pretty much have to (they usually get wrecked on pulling off), and plugs, yes. I had a bit less miles, didn't do motor mounts.

GM Performance wires are fine.

I'd seriously consider doing mounts. It's way easier when the exhaust is out of the way.

Wires:

I would not do mounts as preventive maintenance.

I would buy some p clamps to hold the O2 sensor wires off the headers, attaching the clamp to the bolts that hold the heat shield up.

if you wanted to upgrade to better mounts it would be a good time since they are very easy to replace with the manifolds out of the way... the stock mounts are pretty bad anyway in my opinion, they allow far too much movement and if you ever add a cam it will get worse... personally I used pfadt mounts on my car and they have been great for the last 6 years or so... I really like the design of those mounts over some of the other aftermarket mounts on the market, there are a few other companies that have copied pfadts design as well

I would also add heat wrap for the starter while down there and spark plug wire heat socks to prevent frying them against the headers.

A nice set of ARP header bolts to replace the stock bolts is not a bad idea.

I installed a set of Summit Racing LS plug wires a couple of months ago. I liked these better than the GM wires. The rubber boots that goes onto the plugs on the Summit set encases more of the wire and re-inforced. It makes it much easier to grip the wires if you need to remove them and they are much less like to rip the wire out than the GM plugs.
