I swapped a manual in my 98. The pcm was flashed for it, and the clutch start switch was tuned out. I've read the other clutch switch is necessary for operation, the one for cruise I think. I've got 1 wire the the pink wire at the ignition switch. The other I've pinned to the pcm blue connector, pin 18-clutch anticipation switch. Any guidance out there? My boss is letting me do this on my rack, and I'd rather drive it off than push it. Help would be greatly appreciated!

Here is a SCHEMATIC of the entire Theft Deterrent Relay (TDR) system and the Starter Circuit. As you can see at the center right of the page is a wiring SPLIT for a MANUAL TRANS or a 4L60E Trans. Those are the safety switches.
There is no TUNING required for this change. Just a rewire.
YES!! The BRAKE and CLUTCH peddle BOTH have a switch that reacts with the cruise control system.
Not on this schematic.
Use this schematic and see if you are energizing the TDR when you go to crank the engine.. You SHOULD have 12 VDC on Pin C2 of the TDR and a GROUND on the Yellow/Black wire on Pin A1. IF,,, You ground A1 to chassis ground, you can bypass the BCM starter security protocol.
Make sure that you have all the required voltages during the attempt to CRANK!
Thank you! I didn't swap the dash harness, so I don't have wiring/functioning clutch switches. I temporarily ground 1 side of the relay to the battery, and gave it power from the ignition fuse, VROOM, success! Monday I'll poke around for a permanent in car ground. I'm thrilled and can't thank you enough. What a way to start the weekend! I still need to fill the trans and diff to verify the car moves, but hearing it start open headers was great.
