These are not the newest thread design, but the previous I think. Anyhow, it seems as if I got two driver side tires? The outer edge thread pattern goes one way on one side, and the other on the other side!?
Anyone know if the new style work just as good or better?
The BFG's are NOT directional. Either tire on either side. Doesn't matter.
Apparently, when they first came out with this tire, the sidewalls were pretty stiff. A friend has a set of these that a few of us have tried. None of can get good 60' times on them. However, the new tires which look the same but have softer sidewalls are great. Low 1.7x 60' times are not the hard to achieve.
The last set I had I dont think were marked but the new set I just had mounted were clearly marked 'mount this side in' on one sidewall. There is a wide and thin tread on the outside of the tire, the narrower one goes to the inside on these...

I believe that would make them an asymmetrical design... not directional :yesnod:
Thanks, I wanted to check. These work good, and are not the new design I see on tire ads. If these are even better, and around $150 each, then I can't wait until these give up. Anyhow, I wanted to be sure, before making an butt out of myself, complaining that I got two left tires from another forum member :D
