Is there enough room to run the additional inch taller LS1 style injectors on top of the LS3 heads/fuel rail (aftermarket or oem rail) ? I'd rather not run the injector conversion harnesses that enable LS3 injectors. If you did the conversion to a C5 with a LS3 I'd like to hear what you went with and from where . Looking to upgrade to the +50ish pound range at 58ps fuel pressurei. I'm N/A straight gasoline. Shooting for 70-75% duty cycle at max fueling about 560hp crank. Thanks
I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your original question. I suspect the fuel rail can be spaced upward to make the tall injectors work, but I don't know of anyone who has done it; perhaps someone else can help.
For what it's worth though, there's an OEM injector, 12609749 from 6.2L flexfuel trucks, with the exactly the flow rate you're looking for, and it's LS3-height. I know you said you didn't want them, but you can get low-profile adapters from the EV14 injector connector to your EV1 harness plugs that are cheap, easy, and they work fine. This is the setup I'm running, and I'm very happy with it.
