Going from 2.73 to 3.42's. No other mods. Any added value to a $500 dyno-tune?

Getting ready for the differential swap next month, otherwise bone stock w/A4....Instead of just doing the shift point reprogramming, any added value going with a $500 dyno-tune?

Couldn't help you with the swap but if you do a dyno tune take it up the road to Performance Dyno in Loudon, N.H. They've done my C5 and 05 GTO and do great work.

I don't have an auto so am not positive, but I believe you need to visit a tuner for transmission shift changes anyhow. Hopefully someone with better knowledge than I on this will step in and provide more information.

no value at all considering its bone stock, they may squeeze about 5-10 horsepower. You need it tuned anyways for the new gears. the transmission shift points and speedo.

At that mod level and If I were you...I would have ECS do their mail order tune for $150. They are excellent for the money. Take that $350 and spend it elsewhere.

Go the extra step and install a 2800-3000 rpm stall convertor w/lockup. Huge difference! Contact me as to choices of supplier. Mine was $450 and its fantatic! Good luck.

Thank you, I know I'm biased, but this really is your best option IMHO. No need for a dyno tune at your level of mods.

Excellent advice there.

An excellent place to spend that $350 plus another Benjamin.

My 2 cents. My LPE heads and cam car has a 3.42 rear with 2800 stall. I don’t ever plan on racing, so for me, the stall is over kill. And I drive the car everyday.
