Went to get the car out of Winter storage. Got the message "Service Column Lock", and the "pull the Key for 10 seconds". But, the column doen't lock up.
Contracted the dealer and my car has alreay had the recall fix performed.
The car starts, but very quickly dies after letting the clutch out. Tried several restarts. Same problem.
Doesn't seem like the common issue "lock up" described in the Sticky.
Am I so luck as to have a unique issue? Help please!
You need the LMC5 from Compliance Parts. Typical symptom even with the recall done. GM's fix for the issue is known to be ineffective in resolving the problem. Your computer is programmed to cut off fuel at 2 MPH to ensure you don't drive with a locked column.

The LMC5 is different than the CBP. I already purchased a CLB. Will that fix my issue?
Part of the recall was installation of a "K harness" which was GMs version of a CLB. It contained a mechanical relay which fails after a few years resulting in the pull key message. Another CLB can be used to replace the K Harness. It is installed under the drivers side knee bolster. I replaced my K harness with a CLB, and no issues for past 8 years. My CLB appears to have an electronic relay. It's no longer available, so today's fix is the LMC5.

I'm not sure as I have not seen the CBP. LMC5 instructions include details on how to remove the lock motor relay so that it does not cycle with each ignition cycle. The current LMC5 also includes the 'brown wire mod' in case there are issues the standard installation doesn't fix. Also be sure your battery is fully charged as many of the remove key and column lock messages are the result of low voltage.
Was your battery fully charged? If not, that can cause this also. Make sure battery is full and strong and that terminals are tight. Side post is 11 ftlbs
The shutoff at start up (or 2 mph) is a GM program that was changed on your PCM and is separate from your Column Lock problem. You need to have that programmed out (usually raised to 256 mph) or it will come back to haunt you. It usually happens when the battery (when off) goes below 12.5V, it happened to me after winter storage a few years ago when I unhooked the battery tender several weeks before I started the car. Replaced the battery and changed the fuel cut-off with a PCM programmer.
