HELP, pinging problem
In the summer I installed Borla stinger exhaust, throtle by-pass tube and donaldson air filter. I haven't paid much attention, but at low RPM bet 1200-2100, i hear like an vacuum leak, thinking its all the air coming in, but now I think the engine is pinging at low rpm. Please help, what to do?

I have exactly the same symptoms and am
desperately seekin an answer at the dealer.
My feeling is piston slap that doesn't go away
with temp or driving conditions.
There's also a TSB on rocker arm needle bearing
failure. Mine has been at the dealer a half dozen times
trying to figure it out. They're reluctant to pull the engine
apart.

My engine is noisy too, but since it's not affecting performance or giving me knock retard, I am not too worried about it. I had them fire up 3 new vettes right off the transport, and they all sounded pretty much like mine.
