Intermittent Wiper Arm Position Issue
Recently the wipers on the C5 decided to not return to the down/ off position and would stop in nearly the farthest travel position. After fiddling with the switch and then turning the ignition off and back on, they went down to the proper off position. Now maybe two weeks later they are back to stopping where they were before. I've tried disconnecting the battery hoping to clear something but to no avail.

Have you cleaned the udders lately? Your wiper motor may be sumerged. There are udders on both sides of the cowl. The ones on the driver's side are easiest to access and clean. Additionally that is the side the wiper motor is on.
