Default Is this the correct harmonic balancer?

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/p...model/corvette

I'm going to supercharge in the future. probably next year. Summit shows a bunch of different power bond and ati harmonic balancers. is the "race" one worth the extra $?

https://www.summitracing.com/parts/p...model/corvette

does anyone make a harmonic balancer that is already pinned or doesn't need pinned?

Thanks guys.

With a SC I would go with the high performance Power Bond at a minimum and if I was going more than 6-7 lb of boost, it would be the ATI for sure and using an ARP bolt with what ever you do. For a stock engine the regular Power Bond will work fit. Also, I would pin any Harmonic Balancer if I were doing any type of high rpm events in the Corvette. Sustained higher rpm puts a strain in the locking ability of any crankshaft bolt, HPDE (especially)and autocrosser's have run into that problem on a regular basis.

if you are going to do a supercharger this is the one I would get... its a 10% overdrive so you will pick up roughly 2lbs of boost and when ran in the original belt drive it will help with the voltage issues at wot that these cars are plagued with... if you go to something like a secondary drive later on you won't be using the larger part of the balancer to drive the accessories anymore so the "overdrive" won't apply there... it also has 8 ribs so if you decide to beef up the belt system later on you won't have to switch balancers... in the meantime you can run a 6 rib belt on an 8 rib pulley as long as long as the alignment is perfect... also make sure to pin it and get an arp bolt... if you want to spend a little more money innovators west and ati are also good brands to look at and you can get them configured in pretty much any way you want
