Hi guys-So, I think my check engine light bulb is doa. about a week ago (the last time it was nice here!) when I turned the key the CEL didn't illuminate. So, have seen plenty of vids how to pull the IC and replace the bulb, but after hours of searching I have read where people say the CEL is a #194, and just as many have said its definitely not a 194 but a #74. Still others write that it wasn't a 194 but they took it to a LPS and they matched it up, but no mention of what number it is. Sooooo...part of me says that many would say its a blessing that the darn thing won't come on and some even get in there to pull the bulb (I don't have to pass emissions where I live ) but the other part of me agrees that there is a reason for it to be in there, so I should fix it (and hope I don't dork something else up in the process). So, anyone have first hand experience with the bulb #? definitely don't want to have the dash ripped up for weeks while i'm trying to hunt down the correct $2 bulb. Thanks in advance for any help!

thanx laurent-yep, thats one of the ones i read that referred to the #74 bulb. Part of me just says go for it, get everything apart, and then run it up to NAPA or other LPS to have them match it up...guess it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to have to wait a few days if they have to order it. Just easier to make the repair asap so the everything is still fresh on my mind when it comes to buttoning everything back up
