can I replace the bulb for the check engine light?
When I start my car, all of the guage lights work except for the check engine light. anyone ever change out this bulb, do I need to pull the guage cluster and get behind the guages?

Mine is the same way. I have my cluster out but the bulb is there. Do some people turn them off somehow?

Not sure if they are soldered in. I just had my daughter's Envoy dash fixed and they also replaced all the bulbs because they are soldered to the printed circuit board.

they are not soldered on our...they are twist in.
I purchased a #74 bulb for the CE light at advance auto...will swap it later...mine is burnt out..you can see where the bulb is bad.

Are you confident that this is the correct bulb, or is it something you are going to try?

pretty confident..saw it somewhere else...measured the bulb to the other and they appear the same size. I buttoned it up and tried it. I now have my light back.
