A couple things Whenever you have a transmission fault of any kind the ECM will compensate to allow you to get home by setting the line pr essure at FULL MAX (90 PSI)
This creates hard almost violent shifts
Also when the trans fluid is cold the ECM commands a shorter shift duration to compensate for the cold fluid This should disappear once the fluid warms up
Finally as a car ages the stock trans shifting procedure may become either too soft or aggressive A trans tune can fix all shifting abnormalities as long as you don't have any serious mechanical issues
