Anybody ever replaced the HUD bezel? Just bought my car and its broken. Got the new one today but I don’t want to start pulling on it if it has screws coming in from the bottom. Thanks in advance.

The whole dash pad has to come out. The bezel is held in with kind of a spring clip that pushes over the post that goes through the dash pad.

There are a couple of hidden screws in the dash top under the a pillar trim and defroster vent. The center console, radio surround, knee bolster, glove box has to come out as well. There are some disassembly instructions on the forum and YouTube for reference.

I did this last week and the only tool I used was a 1 inch putty knife to carefully pry the old one up. 5 minutes is about right. Nothing has to come out except the bezel.

You do realize that the bezel in this repair is just sitting there not held in place. From the factory the bezel is held in place with a tinnerman style nut pressed over the 4 posts on the bezel. To do the install the correct way the dash has to come out.

My comment was on post #4 AND, he said it took him five minutes.
I have no reason to doubt him.
