I have a C5 Z06 that I am parting out. Both the left sill and left front wheel house are in good shape and I would like to remove them. I know they are bonded to the frame. Any advise on how to remove these without damage?
The black rectangular door sill trim piece can likely easily be removed with heat and starting a fishing line under an edge, pulling it along. The only thing is I'm not sure there's really a market for those per-say so I don't know if you're wanting to go through the hassle. Many that have a 97 or 98 model which does not have those sills can buy aftermarket replacements or explore other options (like having vinyl cut to shape and then apply).
The inner fender "house" as you refer to it is indeed bonded to the chassis. Heating the entire fender liner is likely going to be impossibly to do but ideally it would follow similar logics of getting something that can "cut" into the glue well like fishing line and working it through the adhesive. It can be fairly difficult to get a solid clean cut in the liner itself but it will come off in one piece. My body shop that had to replace mine had more than enough "fun" when they removed it and bonded the new liner.
Thanks for the info. The "sill" I'm trying to remove is the entire piece that includes the front and rear door jamb as well as the sill below the door that wraps around the bottom of the car. I know GM no longer sells this piece. Years ago at a swap meet, a guy had bought a bunch of NOS GM panels and was selling them for a reasonable price. I probably should have bought everything he had.
Hey Skyking1992, any chance I could get one or both of the rear wheel liners? I want to add the rear brake cooling ducts and either need a template for cutting of the rear liners or liners that are already cut.

The sill's are bonded / glued with a urethane adhesive...gonna be tough to remove them but it can be done.
I used a heat gun and a wood chisel as a pry bar, Slow steady pressure heating a small section at a time. It may take and hour to remove the wheelhouse. The SMC has a release agent molded into it which makes it hard to bond. If you can heat the plastic it will sweat (I think) and pop loose. Not too much heat.
If done right, the adhesive will remain on the frame and you won't tear off any of the surface of the SMC.
