Steering Wheel Position Sensor- Autopsy
Perhaps this has been done in the past but thought I would post the results of the sensor autopsy. Cheap enough to replace, rather than attempt repair, but some of our bretheren have less palatable options. Perhaps this can help someone attempt a repair. Nevertheless, at least you can see several things potentially responsible.
Could be that cleaning the material off the contacts and removing the loose debris would be sufficient. Getting it back together is for someone else to figure out.
