I began installing projector lights in my 02. Got to the part about hooking up wires. Totally baffled. Instructions aren't very helpful. Anyone out there done this recently that can give me an assist? PM for phone #. Thanks in advance
Did you buy projector headlights (housings) or just HID bulbs? Providing information about the product and possibly the vendor may yield better results to your question .
Got housings, ballasts, wiring, and all four bulbs from JW motorsports. I emailed him and am awaiting a response. In the meantime I am trying to figure what plugs into where. Instructions are very vague, at least to me. I seem to have more plugs than plugins or vice versa. Anyway, back out to the garage to carry on...

Unplug a factory light. Plug the factory light connector into a ballast input. Take the output of the ballast and plug it into the HID bulb. Do them one at a time and keep your wires neat, but make sure you leave enough wire for the lights to pop up. Secure the ballasts using two-sided tape or Velcro.
Did you get HID's for both the low and high beams? If so, you are going to want to wire your lights so that the low beams stay on when the high beams are activated, otherwise you will be blind when the low beams turn off while waiting for the high beams to warm up.
Unless you got high-end projectors, I'll bet you won't like them. I got eBay projectors and went back to the factory lenses. I love my HID lights, however. The high beams turn night into day after they warm up.

I have given up for the night. Addressing your questions: I paid I think $450 or so for the setup. Is that high end? Highs and lows are HID. How do I tell ballast input from output? And the pigtails that plug into the ballasts are different lengths (2 each), but the terminals look the same. Does that matter for which one goes where? Lastly, how do I wire them so the lows stay on when the highs are activated? Thank You so far for the help. (I have a guy coming over tomorrow who supposedly knows how to do the wiring so we shall see.)
Those seem to be the housings I bought. I can't remember how to post pics but the ballasts (4) are black boxes 2 1/2 X 3" with 2 wires coming out the top, one a red wire with a two prong connector and a black wire that goes into a smaller black box that a black and a red wire come out of. They have single connectors that I think plug into the bulbs. The two prong connectors seem to plug into a double wire harness. There are four harnesses in two different lengths. Where they go is unknown to me. It almost seems like I don't have the correct main harnesses
As I am looking at the mess that will hopefully be headlights at some point, I am beginning to believe that two of the two wire harnesses are not the right ones. There are 4 total that I think plug into the ballasts. Two are 12" long with a 1/2" gap between prongs and work fine. The other two are 20" long with a 1/4" gap between prongs and don't seem to plug in anywhere. JWM has sent pictures that hopefully should help, so back into battle I go. I will check back here later.
JW Motorsports sent me a couple photos showing the hookups are supposed to go. With that and the assistance of a friend who knows more about this stuff than I do, we achieved success. All four lights work. Now to bolt everything back together. Thanks to all for your input.
By the way, while doing this project, I managed to break off one of the adjusting rods (just like I KNEW I would do). I suppose this means having to buy a whole new mounting frame?
