I had what I thought was a reputable shop install a new clutch in my 2004 Z06. Now they are saying the car won't start and suspect the fuel pump has failed. They say there is 0 pressure at the fuel rail. They claim they tapped on the bottom of the fuel tank and the pump came on and the car started but stopped again after few minutes.
The car started and ran perfectly before the clutch install. Do you guys have any ideas of what they might have done to cause this issue?

do you have to have to have the clutch pushed in to start the car? wheres the switch/sensor for that? is there a neutral safety switch ? did they plug those back in?
Fuel pump will ONLY PRIME when key is placed to ON. How are they checking fuel pressure and when?? When the pump primes, you SHOULD see pressure at the front driver side rail schrader valve.

The car cranks just won't start so I think the switches are all connected properly.
Just hard for me to believe that the fuel pump died while the car was having the clutch installed. It seems to me that it has to be something that was disturbed.
Check the fuel pump FUSE and the fuel pump relay. Make sure that you are getting POWER at the fuel pump fuse by checking it with a Multimeter to ground.
