Has anyone had more valve train noise after doing the trunion upgrade? I had mine done recently with the BTR kit and the sewing machine ticking is noticeably louder. It's not a big difference and doesn't sound real bad but there is a difference. Anyone know why this would be?

perhaps it's just transmitting more noise than the factory rockers from your lifters tapping... it seems like you have tried everything else possible to fix your tapping issue except for changing what you presume is the root cause (the lifters)... if you are that concerned you should take the heads off and swap them out, you were already part of the way there when you changed the trunnions
Did you change your cam and not figure out the correct pushrod length? It would make sense for your valve train to be noisy if your pushrods are the wrong length.

No.. cam, pushrods, springs, rockers are all stock.
Good deal. They used to sell a needle bearing kit. Glad they switched.
Did they switch recently? About a year ago I had installed their trunion upgrade kit and it was a needle bearing kit. Didn't see a bushing kit on their website, any info would be helpful!

I could be wrong but I had a shop order and install their kit thinking it was a bushing kit. I guess I should have verified that first. Does anyone know for sure what their kit is?
Ok so I am wrong, they are a needle bearing style kit.
Correct, the BTR kit is needle bearings. A friend of mine installed these, and the new bearings felt significantly notchier than stock in my hands. I have not heard the car run with them installed yet, though, so I'm not sure if it translated to more noise.
He called BTR and discussed the notchiness with them, they assured him that it's normal.

That is probably why mine is noisier now... I don't know what else would cause it. It's not a big deal though it's not alot worse just slightly.

When I stalled my kit from BTR, all felt great except one rocker which felt notchy. I called BTR, they sent me two new bearings and the rocker felt nice and smooth, not sure what the issue was.
