I've seen that 50lb gain in weight posted, before. What's the weight difference, between a C5 and C6Z caliper? What's the weight difference, between a stock 12.8" C5 brake rotor and a 14" C6Z unit?

edit:
Oem C5 front rotors weigh 18.9lbs/ea
Oem C6Z front rotors weigh 26.5lbs/ea

Oem front C5 calipers w/bracket weigh 10.1lbs/ea
Oem front C6Z calipers weigh 11.4lbs/ea

50lbs difference? Not even close, more like less than 20lbs, total.

you need to factor in the rears as well and the pads, not sure if there's any difference but it's worth noting... I don't remember the exact weight but I know it was easily more than 20lbs total... my car was n/a at the time and I could definitely notice the extra weight but I have since added more power, lighter rotors, and got used to it so it's not an issue now
