Will Using a MAF Backwards Ruin It?
I got in a hurry and put my maf on backwards the other day. Now it's messed up. Can I attribute that to having it on backward for a couple of hundred miles? :conehead

I don't think you can damage it by installing backwards...correct the installation, reset the computer and see how the car is after that. Chances are it will run fine :yesnod: If not, it's probably something else or one of the elements in the MAF got touched and broken during the r&r. Good luck :cheers:

I tried that. It just started running like crap, so I figured I had an air leak. I tightened everything and then duck taped all the seams and nothing helped. I think the MAF is fried somehow. I wouldn't think it would hurt it, but I have no other explanation. :confused:
