Maybe with some aggressive tuning. E85 has higher octane, allowing more aggressive tunung. Just E85 without tune, no way you would get 30 more hp. The down side, fuel mileage will drop. Many boosted vehicles switch to E85 and yes, they make much more power.
Those kits can't adjust timing, but they claim e85 inherently increases power. I installed a kit on my old Subaru that worked basically the same way. I never got around to getting it tuned, but my tuner was confident I'd make more power even without a custom tune (which would have messed up things when I added 93 octane anyway.) I have no idea if these claims are true, or if only FI cars see improvements without a full tune.

I'm very skeptical of these kits, if someone has any real world proof that would be great... I run e85 full time in my car but I have the fuel system for it and the car is tuned to run it
I've got my eye on some used 60# injectors so I can give the kit a try in the future. I've got aftermarket heads, cam, intake manifold, and long tube headers on my car from the previous owner, so I'm probably already maxed out on the stock 2001 injectors.
I don't have wads of cash to throw around though. I might get the injectors in and pay for a tune before the summer is up, I doubt I'll buy an $800 ethanol kit too soon after that. Maybe next spring.
