The same thing happened on my 02 vert five years ago. I poured a 20 ounce can of TECHRON in my gas tank that was 5/8 full and the problem went away 4 miles later. I use it three times a year since then because the stuff is "magic". Some folks had to do several treatments. The problem is related to deposits on the fuel gauge sending unit caused by fuel.
