alternator issue ?
1999 c5 convertible. rebuilt alternator, suddenly only showing 11.4 to 11.8 volts on DIC while driving.

Possibly...in any case have your battery load tested first and go from there.

Have you read the sticky in Tech for alternator's. It's a very good read.
The TL;DR version is your DIC's reading is often (read: nearly always) not 100% accurate due to variances and issues leading from the alternator to the IPC and gauges.

Using a multimeter, check the voltage directly:
between the battery posts
on the alternator
between the alternator and the positive post on the battery
Report back your results and it would be good if you could fully charge your battery and have it load-tested at an auto parts store.
DO NOT give your alternator as core. Keep it, so you can still have options.

That's low.
Mine always reads above 13 volts. When I take a meter to the battery while the car is running, I always get over 14 volts.
