Delete/Remove Mirror Memory Function?
How do I delete/completely remove the memory mirror functionality from a 2004 C5 Corvette? I want to convert it to non-memory (just standard power) mirrors.

Every time I open the car with the FOB, my drivers' mirror would move. The only way I found to stop this from happening is not to use the unlock function on the FOB.

Wouldn't they move to where they should be if you saved the memory settings to the fob? The seat and steering wheel would move as well. Just trying to understand why the mirrors are being called out separately.

When I first read your post, I assumed you were replacing your mirrors and didn't want to spend the extra coin on mirrors with the memory function. It now seems the the real reason for your question was to eliminate the need to re-adjust your mirrors every time you get in the car. Is it a problem with the "cup" on the back of the mirror glass or the "ball" on the pots? The mirror glass assy. isn't very expensive (relatively speaking) to replace unless you have the auto-dimming feature. But you don't necessarily have to replace it with that style just because you have that option. I still think your best bet is to "remove" that function with a Tech2, but I don't know if it will affect "all" memory functions. You should send Bill Curlee a message, he probably could tell you definitively.

I don't have a Tech2, but I recall that if the BCM is replaced, a Tech2 is required to "re-program" the new BCM for all of the RPO codes/functions in the car. I'm pretty sure Bill has one and has probably used it for tinkering around in the options settings on his car.
