Hurst shifter install

I'll be installing my Hurst shifter this weekend. Any last minute tips from those who had successfully installed this will be appreciated.

Gary: I am well acquainted with this little friend of ours. When I got my car, my first mod was supposed to be a carbon-fiber shifter. Tried taking the demon key with a visegrip, it slipped and hit me square on the forehead - knocked me out cold! After 2 years, I guess I gotta encounter 'it' again.

It's ok, I got good help. Tom (tome in the forum) will be helping me with the install so I'll be ok.

Patches: Thank you for your illustrated website. It's good step-by-step guide to follow.

Can I do anything about the added roadnoise that some people had noticed? I will be installing a new **** with the new shifter. I picked up an MGW pistol grip. It came just in time today. I like how it looks and pretty much the only **** that appealed to me.

Follow the pictorial by "patches"; follow the instructions that come with the Hurst! It's veryyyyyyyyyyyyy simple! A great do it yourself mod! I put on a Momo **** "competizone"......no additional noise except at full throttle which by the way sounds ballsy! :D

Sometimes you will get a rattle from the shifter and I have found that the best thing to do is wrap the threads of the shifter with teflon tape.......

After this just put the "monkey grip" on the shift **** when you install it.

Should be a piece of cake if you follow the instructions. In fact you are pobably complete :yesnod:

I did notice some additional noise transfer but it is worth it for the improved shifter.
