Default Reverse light problem

While checking a flicker in reverse lights the bulb shorted and sparked. Replaced bulb now back up lights come on with the fob but not in reverse. Replaced relay without results. Lights on and car in reverse when light shorted. Cannot find anything in fuse box other than the 7866 #38 relay , when removed lights don't work even with the unlocked feature on the fob. New relay lights come on with fob but not in reverse. Any ideas on what to check next?

Check Fuse 21 in the passenger's floor. Since the short happened when in reverse, Fuse 21 is probably blown.

Relay 38 and Fuse 2 in the underhood panel are for the approach lights and are not involved when car is put in reverse. Check schematics:

But I do not agree that relay 38 is only part of the approach lights.

Following the diagram the power from fuse #21 passes through relay 38 when that relay is in its normal position.
That is true but I wrote too fast
