I was driving and hit a bump in the road and the HUD went out. There is nothing, no lights and no movement when I try to adjust the angle of the screen. Is there a connector or fuse I might have dislodged? Thanks for any help.
Pretty good bet the plastic pivot pin broke. Common issue, just fixed mine last month. This is a good thread with the fix. You'll have to remove the dash to get there, but it's not too bad. Took me about an hour and a half to take it out, an hour to fix and adjust the HUD, then an hour and a half to put it all back together.

The light might not be out. On mine, I had to get in a dark garage, stick my nose on the windshield and look closely, and finally saw a very slight blue glow, confirming it was actually working. The problem is the pin broke and it dropped so far I assumed it wasn't working at all. Once I got the pivot fixed, it works great, nice and bright and centered right where it's supposed to be. You can see my results here about halfway down the page.
Would the lights on the HUD go out if the pivot pin broke? It's like a connector came loose, like someone pulled the plug.
There is a mirror that is controlled by the pivot point. No mirror, now visibility. Take it apart. Either way - pivot point or loose connector - you gotta get to the unit which entails taking the dash apart.
