Default Which direction for Timing Cover Gasket?

I've read numerous times here on the forum that there's only one way this gasket goes on, and if you get it wrong there will be leaks. I've searched, watched vids, etc. but I can't find which way it goes. One side has rubber that goes all the way to the bolt holes (as seen in the pic), the other side doesn't.

My manuals haven't arrived yet if the guidance is in those. Was hoping to spend the better part of today putting this beast back together.

Thanks all!

As you can see in the pic above, it only fits on one way as the cover's shape is asymmetrical.

I think you are hearing stories of the front seal being installed backwards.

sorry guys, brainfart on my end. I'll blame it on no caffeine yet and my GF/I just ran a Tough Mudder yesterday and this old guy was feelin' it in every muscle and bone in my body. Gasket can only go on one way, and I got her done today. Thanks for the replies!
