Pulling instrument cluster???
Here is the deal... I am doing work on somebodies car. His EBCM crapped out so he had the traction and abs lights on the dash. Instead of fixing the problem he had some hack job mechanic pull his gauges and put tape on the DIC to cover it so he didn’t have to look at the light. ( I know it’s probably the stupidest thing in the world xD) So I think I fixed the EBCM but I can’t check to see if there is codes because there is tape behind the DIC screen. He wants me to pull the tape now instead of paying somebody else but I am hessident to fix somebody else’s hack work. How hard is it to pull the gauges and how many hours would it take? If there are any pictures out there please let me know. I would like to know what I am getting into before I commit to fixing this. I really don’t want to open a can of worms.
