Warm only engine chirp
I've got a 2011 Grand Sport with 29k miles. toward the end of last summer the engine started to chirp, so I tested belts as normal (remove the belt, start engine, no chirp, pulleys felt tight, no wobble, no hitching, etc) so I replaced the belts, ran it around the block no problem and put it away for the winter. This spring i took it out and ran for a little while and the chirp came back, starting as an intermittent chirp at idle to a whole damn flock of birds at 3500 or so. Parked it, let it cool down and pulled the belt, no chirp, so I replaced the idler and tensioner, put it back together, drove her around the block, no chirp. Back out for another cruise and the chrip comes back about 15 minutes into the drive. So basically, chirp is only when the car is to temp, faster with throttle. The only thing that makes sense to me is the water pump, but that really doesn't make much sense, especially on a car with <30k on it. Anyone have any suggestions?
