Spark Plug Help
My C5 is a 2002. I have 40K miles and the plugs have never been changed. If the car is running good, when should the plugs be changed?

I just changed my 2004 with 50,000 miles. The old plugs looked good but there was a questionable wire. It now runs smoother. You will need new wires. The old ones are PITA to get off.

I changed mine at about 113,000 I think. 3 wires came apart. One more fell apart and the plug for that cylinder had burnt the center electrode near flush. So as said, order wire set with plugs.

I would probably have the fuel injectors cleaned before I changed 40k plugs

I changed mine at 40K miles, but only because I was installing headers. If it runs fine, leave them IMO.
If you do replace definitely get wires also.

I used the red OPM spark plug wires and the NGK TR55IX plugs

100K miles, age doesn't matter.
