HELP! 2001 Corvette won't go into reverse.
If you have any helpful insights on how to correct my problem, I would appreciate them.
I have a 2001 convertible that will not go into reverse when it is cold. I replaced the lockout solenoid, but that did not solve it. The speedo has recently stopped working until I've driven a few miles. Not sure if there is any correlation.
Knowing the potential for grounding issues is high on C5s, I've checked the grounding points and no issues are apparent. The alternator and battery are relatively new.
The trans is not the original. I swapped in a C5 Z06 trans when I did an LS3 engine swap. I do 6-8 track days per year.
Has anyone else had these problems?

Any codes present? If I'm not mistaken, a bad speed sensor on the differential will cause the reverse lockout to deenergize, which on a 2001 means no reverse.
