The dealer says it’s got fuel, spark, ect. They wanted to take off the valve cove inspect the valves and if needed do leak down test. Has been narrow down to a misfire in cylinder 1
im gonna inspect the springs valve and head on my own. They suspect a bad spring or valve seat possible valve. Nothing past that. Car has run better now still stammers at idle how ever when the car shuts off you can hear air rushing out eithe the passenger side valve cover or intake maybe this is normal it’s coming out somewhere .

Well, we KNOW the car has fuel and spark !!...DUH... LOL !!!...these dealerships are something else...a good thing having a scan tool you can check misfire counters to see if it's a specific cylinder...this pic is what you want to see on a scan tool...LOL !!...HANG IN THERE !!...I know this can be frustrating...now it COULD be a bad injector being it's cylinder specific...best test is a fuel injector leak down test to verify beyond "a reasonable doubt" !!!

So the dealer narrowed the problem down to cylinder 1, but the problem is a broken spring on cylinder 2?
Interesting! Very interesting!
Obviously, I am missing something!
Hope that takes care of your issues and you can start enjoying your car!

Yellow spring is this original? On a 2000 5.7 ? I’ve saw these coming on a ls6, ls2 z06 243 head...would anyone happen to have a part number ? I would hate to throw a regular spring on and it needs to be a performance spring. I’ve read the yellow have a higher lift then blue ones

Found the cylinder head numbers are 853 casting D270 18 on the inside l. The 1st owner did mention to me that he had ordered it from the factory with every option and upgrade.
im gonna guess the better springs were part of it.

I posted here before somewhere on here when I first got it. It seems to run real strong like something was upgrade. I bought it as is at a dealer. The 1st owner said he ordered everything possible from the factory Dunno if 2000 had a upgraded 243 head possibly? Or it’s a after market. Number inside the head reads D270 18. I search and race heads pop up. The spring is looks like a ls6 beehive yellow spring..I’m not entirely sure at the moment.
Is there a marking at the front of the head visible with the valve cover on like the 243 on this:
853 would be correct for a 2000...but I still don't think those ever came with yellow springs.
Here is what I think...someone who had that car had a friend with a Z06 and that friend did an upgrade on cam and springs. He gave his old cam and springs to his the previous owner who installed them in your car. There is really no way to know for sure without pulling the cam.
Regardless, those springs are no good and you should change them all...the question becomes what to put in. My amateur recommendation is the factory blues.
I did search up they do appear to be a z06 spring.. def not pulling the cam. I was on the same page as you just different book lol Putting in those yellow springs. Probably both sides. Haven’t decided whether to pull the head have it machine ported and rebuilt . Need to get a cost on that. As is maybe 10 bucks for a spring.
From the picture below that looks like the front of the drivers side head. If that is correct then the spring that is broken is the exhaust valve spring on cylinder 1 and not a spring on cylinder 2.
sorry I mean cylinder 3 my bad it’s next to 1. Causing a misfire because the valve in 3 wasn’t working right.I was just so excited to find it...mind went blank !

The order goes in odd numbers 1,3,5,7 in this case it was cylinder 3 spring not cylinder 1. The spring snapped I believe the 3rd coil down it looks at the top only by that picture.
