The keyless entry on my 99 FRC goes wild after I park it in my garage. If I leave the keys in the car (not in the ignition) and get out it starts locking and unlocking by itself. The fob PASSIVE IS OFF. This happens with both fobs. My garage is locked; therefore, leaving the keys in it - easier than looking for them in the house. I leave the window down as I have locked myself out. This is something recent (last three months) - I have left the key the car with nothing happening for the previous nine years that we have owned the Vette - any suggestions beyond taking the keys out and bringing them in the house. This has also intermittently happened in parking lots after locking it and walking away with the keys in my pocket. I am absolutely certain the PASSIVE IS OFF. Thank you in advance!
So weird enough I had this issue when I first bought my '99 and followed this post from WAY back in 2004 to shut the passive off...

As 8VETTE7 alludes to there is no direct means through the DIC to disable passive that I know of on a '99 model at least considering I could not find it. I had to use Miaugi's method.
EDIT: I'd also probably mention I only have one working FOB. Shortly after doing this my #2 FOB's battery killed over and I've been having the worst time sync'ing it back up, so much so I just use one key and FOB now.
